Lessons From OUTSIDE the Dog House

The Proverbial Dog House

For my money, the best place to learn a lesson is OUTSIDE of the dog house, looking in - long BEFORE you find yourself inside the the dog house, looking out. The view there’s as pleasant as an upskirt shot of somebody’s great-great grandmother.

One of the easiest ways to grab a lesson or two is to see what lands other people in hot water. Not to gloat or cast stones, mind you.  After all, we’re all humans and we all have the potential to be about as hideous as we put our minds to being.  None of us are exempt from making mistakes and none of us walk on water.  Every now and again someone will step up to the plate and make such a grand ass out of themselves by saying or doing something completely idiotic - they’ll be the village idiot for a while.  Until, of course, the next one pops up and demands the honor.

I guess the reigning V.I. right now would be “Dog the Bounty Hunter’s” Duane Chapman.  Sadly, someone will come for the title soon enough - but, for now, anyway, it’s all his.

I’m a believer in looking for the good in life, even amongst the bad, though.  So, I’m all for poking around roughs in the hopes of finding a diamond.  With that in mind, there are actually a few things we can carry away from this village idiot election.  Click HERE to see what they are…
