Friday’s Quote of the Day

Attitude is everything.

“Attitudes are contagious.  Are yours worth catching?”  ~Dennis and Wendy Mannering

Have you ever noticed just how contagious other people’s moods and attitudes are?  If they tend to look at life like through rose-colored glasses, it’s not long before you’re seeing it through similar hues.  But if they color everything with negativity (This can’t be donethat should never be attempted, etc..), it’s not long before you start questioning everything as well.

I’m not saying to avoid the Eeyores of the world - Eeyore needs love, too! - I’m just saying to watch out for their “attitude germs.”  If a friend has a cold, you don’t mark her and run the other way - you just take measures to keep from catching what she has.

Different germs, same premise.

If you have someone in your life who is almost always negative, try to help them see things more positively.  Go out of your way to blow sunshine up their butt so far it comes out their eyes.  When they DO say something positive, reinforce it by bringing attention to it - something like, “That’s why I love hanging out with you, you make me feel better about things.”  You know, something like that.

Whatever you do, be on guard against your spirits lowering themselves to meet hers - lock yours into place, then work on pulling hers up.  After all, attitudes are contagious, right?  Spread your good germs!
