Keep up the good work! You’ve made an excellent point. Another of my favorite quotes on courage and fearless living, which you’re unlikely to find on the Internet, is by Shawn Phillips, author of AbSolution (and brother of Bill Phillips (author of Body-for-LIFE)). Mr. Phillips quote goes like this:
“The greater tragedy is not in those lives lost in death, but in those lives lost while still living.”
I believe this quote encompasses the core of fear and courage. To live life to the fullest we must embrace courage and conquer fear. If not we live a life of mediocrity because we’re always in a state of anxiety and emotional turmoil for not living up to our truest potential.
In the ebook Dream Your Life Positively, a friend of mine surprised me with his question: “you should ask yourself a simple question before starting; do you have the will and courage to accept full responsibilities of your wishes and actions?”
To me it is not just being alive that makes life worth living, but the depth and sense you bring to your life. Ant that requires a lot of courage to accomplish.
