SUCCESS MAGAZINE NAMES TOP TEN DRIVERS FOR SUCCESS IN 2008
New Year’s is a time for resolutions, and according to SUCCESS there is no better time design the person you want to become and the life you want to live in 2008.
Publisher and Editorial Director of SUCCESS magazine, Darren Hardy, offers the following advice on how to make 2008 your best year ever!
- Decide to be Successful – Success is not a dream, hope or fantasy; it is a decision. Make the decision to change, improve and act on your ambitions.
- Design your Best Year Yet – As an architect would design a skyscraper, write out the goals, plans and actions it will take to achieve the life you want to live.
- Identify Your Passion - What are your unique interests, talents and gifts? Passion attracts success. Find what you love to do - you will never “work” again.
- Program Yourself for Success – You will see, perceive, expect and create what you think about. To program your mind for success – read watch and listen to materials that will support your success.
- Surround Yourself with Success - You are the combined average of the five people you hang around the most. Surround yourself with healthy, success-minded achievers.
- Model Success - The best way to learn to be successful at anything is to find someone who is where you want to be and model their success habits.
- Master the Fundamentals – Don’t complicate it. About a half a dozen things make up 90%+ of what it takes to be successful at anything. Keep it simple.
- Get Fit - The mind cannot achieve what the body cannot perform. Your family, friends and career and future depend on your good health. Make it priority No. 1.
- Remember What’s Important – At the end of the journey what will have mattered most will be your relationships – the people you love and those that love you. Make sure they are on your goal list for 2008.
- Make a Difference – What do you want your life’s legacy to be? You have the power to make a positive difference – to a single person, a neighborhood, a community, a nation, the world. Realize that power in 2008.

I wonder…
I have your blog feed sitting nicely on my google reader. And sometimes, I do find a post that drives me to your blog. And then I stay longer than one would expect…
You blog is just that, simple. And of course, I mean it in the best possible way. Simple as in ‘to-the-point’ and actually uplifting for that fact perhaps.
But then I don’t see many comments on your blog. And here, you are talking about online ventures. I am wondering, how is this venture doing??
Are your ventures ‘geared’ towards a proper profit? It wouldn’t matter either way (to me that is
) but I wonder why people are not leaving comments on your posts; are they that uplifting that they just want to get out and do stuff?
I hope so as well :).
But seriously, great words of wisdom and a great invitation to people to take action in their own lives. Good luck and may God bless you with joy and serenity.
Peace & God bless,
Mohammad Khan.
P.S. only some of your headlines ‘drive’ me to your blog. Maybe you could check out copyblogger.com’ to get more ‘driving’ headlines out there, because your content is quite strong! (me thinks)
Thanks for the complimentary comments. As for people not leaving many comments, I cherish the ones I get and, honestly, don’t question the ones I don’t get.
I think of it kind of like shopping for kitchen gadgets (a passion of mine if there ever was one!) - I love the ones I come away with to distraction. And the ones I don’t get? I don’t give them too much thought. If they were meant to be…they’d be.
Some blogs and some subjects generate more comments than others do. While I’d love to see more opinions expressed, at least this blog - unlike a great deal of blogs online - doesn’t get hateful back and forth arguments amongst its readers.
Something else that I’ve noticed about my blogs - I get more e-mail messages than I do comments. I love e-mail, so I’m always happy to get more. Several of my longest-running e-mail relationships were the result of this blog. One started, oddly enough, over energy drinks and we recently moved onto Arby’s curly fries (go figure!).
I truly appreciate your words of kindess and your suggestions. My husband (also a blogger and avid reader of Copyblogger) often shows me articles about post titles and things of that nature. I have been trying to give my posts more “fetching” titles, but I can write 25 posts with more ease than I can title any one of them. Weird, I know.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge with me. I hope the kindness you shared with me will come back around to you. I’m certain it will! - Joi
